Ingram Micro Appoints New General Manager of Data Capture/Point-of-Sale Division

CARLSBAD, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Ingram Micro Inc. today announced it has appointed Justin Scopaz to General Manager and Data Capture/POS vice president of Ingram Micro's Data Capture/Point-of-Sale (POS) Division.

In this new role, Scopaz will replace John Soumbasakis as general manager of Ingram Micro's successful Data Capture/POS Division and take on the day-to-day responsibility of leading the Division's team and executing against its core growth initiatives. Scopaz will report directly to Soumbasakis who was recently named senior vice president and general manager of Strategic Divisions for Ingram Micro North America.

Scopaz joined the Data Capture/POS Division in late 2004. Prior to being named general manager and Data Capture/POS vice president, Scopaz oversaw the Division's vendor management and marketing teams. He is credited with successfully executing against the company's growth initiatives and orchestrating a strong team that has worked together over the years to forge and build several strategic partnerships with leading and emerging manufacturer partners within the Data Capture/POS space.
