Kabboooozle!

I decided to take a very light hearted approach to this profile. To reflect the way I would approach it. Sort of a Fool.com approach....serious but not serious enough to take itself seriously.

You should be scared of me. I'm a walking hazard! I'm tiny too, so that's especially scary. I wiggle my nose as I read (no just kidding). I also wear baby mittens as I browse Duedee and other sites like it. I've registered on 2 others, I've just plain forgotten! Beawolf, oh Beawolf where art thou? ...hey, aren't we in a Bear Market? Thought I should bring that up.

OK, I really AM smarter than that. Just you watch. My portfolio wont be that bad! After a while anyway. I'm going to start out with Smucker's Jelly.

I am many things, but most of all I am a caring, passionate person with values that I'd like to see in my investments. I cant see investing on its own as a goal for my money! But, first...i gotta LEARN how to invest. And, therein, I may very well just let it go and understand the basics of it before becoming picky!

Current strategy...

1. Reduce losing positions. I've got a slew of stinkers in my portfolio. Many of them are down simply because everything is down. Thing is, I need the cash to pick up a few things that I'm sure are due to move upwards. So, I'm taking some losses to get the needed cash.

2. Buy. Markets are down, but there's no doubt that there is going to be some general upward movement over the summer of 2008. I'm concentrating on ETFs to get the built-in diversification. Plus, I'm also trying to find ways to play different commodities and currencies etc. that will probably gain a few percentages... looks like corn, coal, the dollar and interest rates are the way to go right now...

3. Wait. A lot of the "crap" I'm holding is actually undervalued, and ought to return over the next quarter or two. My excessive shorting of QID will most likely be mitigated in the medium term. Time heals all wounds, they say. Hope they're right!
