Hi will there be earnings news and stuff on this site later? Should be a great addition.

Actually, I think reports on earnings and developments (outside of blogs) would "crowd" this site. In its place might be links to the other sources of information now so widespread on the web. It would help all to learn "what is out there" by going "out there." What might serve well in that regard is a "Useful Links" section to which members might contribute as well (somehow).

I think it would be useful to have a feature to keep track of how much has been spent on 'commissions'.
I've been trying to figure out optimal volume ranges to stay flexible and diverse without losing too many profits to commissions. But since that data isn't right in front of my eyeballs, I have to do the math in my head, and on the fly. I'm kind of lazy and not naturally adept at mathematics, either.
Also, it's not clear (to myself, in any case) if the virtual commissions are taken out on both the buy and sell side of each transaction, and also how commissions are handled for short sales. I assume we 'pay' for each and every trade, but assuming isn't the same as knowing.
Anyhow, some sort of running commissions tab would be helpful to the likes of me, and maybe even someone else.
Nice site by the way. Looks great; works great.

If there's enough interest I would be happy to start a section on my site where people can enter and also vote on suggestions for Bullpoo. This way it's clear which changes will make the majority happy.
I've started this for Zecco and so far so good.
Check it out and let me know. jason_ace750@yahoo.com

i think bullpoo should launch some sort of stock competition too. that only makes sense with what you got here. a $1 million dollar prize wouldn't be that bad either. otherwise $100,000 would do fine.

Hi forking, thanks for the feedback. Yes we are definitely aware of it and we've been trying different things to handle traffic load. You should actually see a performance improvement as of now!

Could you add a column in the portfolio view that has the percentage gain instead of or in addition to the $ gain.
Even better if you can add a way to customize the columns in the portfolio view since all my trading is in US$ and I do not need to see two columns telling me how much my position is worth.
Thanks,
-KB

Two suggestions.
First... Could you make it possible to have multiple orders based on a specific condition? Example... I want to buy a stock at $50.00. Once that is purchased I want to have an open standing order saying to sell it if it hits $55.00. At the present time, I don't see an option to input a sell order until I've actually purchased the stock. Now the problem for me is that I don't have access to this site at my work and I don't want to miss out on a favorable trade situation. If I could have a limit sell order sitting in queue I could go about my day and not worry about missing a good selling point.
Second... The posting method of the forums seems counterintuitive. At this forum the newest posts are placed on top of older posts, which results in a need to scroll Up to read the thread with any continuity. Potentially you'd have to navigate to page 3/4/5/etc. of a post and then scroll up, moving backwards in page numbers until you get to #1 for the newest items. This method isn't natural and the standard for the web. I've run several websites and participate in a large number of forums. I know that almost all forum clients have an option to flip between ascending/descending post order. I'd personally recommend changing to have the newest post follow after the original, rather then precede it. With all printed material, internet based or not, the eye naturally moves downward when reading. It makes it very awkward to have to scroll up and flip backwards in page numbers to read a post in order.
I can live without suggestion number two being implemented, but I'm crossing my fingers on suggestion number one. I'd love to really automate my trades and see how my strategies play out, without having to sit in front of the computer all day long to manage trading.

Hi stalink,
Thank you for your suggestions. We realize that because we currently only support US markets, the 2 columns showing market value are redundant - the portfolios were designed with multiple currencies in mind and we anticipate that these columns will be more useful in that context. However, we are definitely looking into streamlining the columns for the portfolios to free up some space to include more data including the percentage gain.

Hi SLyons,
Thanks for the suggestions! The first one you describe is something that our developers have been planning and will be released in a future update. Several users have messaged us about similar functionality and we will update everyone on the forum when it comes closer to release.
As for the forums, we actually have a setting to switch between sorting methods for each member, we will be reintroducing the ability to change this setting in a future update. For now, I have switched your account setting to your preferred method for you.

I would like to be able to post notes for each of my stock holdings in my profile, that we I can make NTS: Note to Self, and remind myself certain things about a particular stock and what my goal was with it. I noticed last week I sold some stock, because I forgot what I was doing with it, and later regretted it because it came back to me what I had originally planned to do with it.
